Key Responsibilities

Provide expert inpatient palliative care consultations with focus on advanced symptom managementLead complex medical decision-making discussions with patients, families, and care teamsCollaborate within a well-established interdisciplinary team including experienced nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workersMentor and guide team members in delivering compassionate, evidence-based careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and program development

Schedule & Call Requirements

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMCall Schedule: Light call rotation (1 in 4 weeks) serving as backup support to nurse practitionersWork-Life Balance: No weekend rounds, allowing for true work-life separation

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from accredited institutionBoard certified or board eligible in Hospice & Palliative MedicineStrong clinical expertise in symptom management and end-of-life careExcellent communication and collaborative skillsLeadership experience preferredCommitment to interdisciplinary team-based care
