MAU is hiring a Paint and Shipping Supervisor for our client in Rosedale, MS.
As a Paint and Shipping Supervisor, you will oversee painting, loading, and shipping operations for structural steel while leading a team of 10–12 employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This is a direct-hire opportunity with excellent growth potential.

Shift Information Second Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM Overtime: Fridays (2nd) Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Minimum [X] years of experience in structural steel painting and/or shipping Previous supervisory or team lead experience General Requirements Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to train, coach, and supervise a team of up to 12 employees Solid understanding of safety standards and OSHA compliance Effective communication skills (verbal and written) Preferred Requirements Previous experience in steel fabrication or structural steel environment Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) load restrictions Familiarity with computer programs for load sheets, weights, and rundowns Essential Functions:
Painting Structural Steel Follow paint parameters outlined in data sheets Apply and track different types of industrial paints Maintain records of dry times, humidity, and temperatures Operate pneumatic spray equipment Safely handle painted steel Set up the paint shop according to job sequences Read and interpret mill gauges Loading and Shipping Steel Safely handle and load structural steel Apply DOT load restrictions and safety guidelines Use computer programs for load sheets, piece input, weights, and rundowns Plan trailer loading sequences to meet project requirements Leadership Supervise a team of 10–12 employees Ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are consistently met Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises: Paint Shop Technicians Shipping/Loading Crew Members Work Environment / Working Conditions Responsibilities are performed in a fabrication shop and shipping yard environment Exposure to paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions Physical Demands
This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation: Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Operating spray equipment and handling steel materials Working at heights or in confined spaces when required Travel Minimal travel required; occasional travel may be necessary for training or project support
