Description:You will be a Painter Senior, responsible for applying paints, coatings, and finishes to various manufacturing articles. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality products, and we're looking for a skilled and experienced technician like you to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Painter Senior, your responsibilities will include:
• Interprets CAD data, prints and sketches with regard to regarding various paint, marking, plating and touch-up and can follow written manufacturing instructions (MI's) and/or verbal instructions
• Selects and determines the proper type of paint materials and their reducers, proper
viscosities, spray procedures for articles to be finished to desired thickness and quality
• Uses a spray gun, brushes, or other application methods for coating various types of surfaces of manufacturing articles with finished or protective material such as enamels, lacquer, paint, etc. and adjusts and directs spray to obtain specified finish
• Uses solvents and aqueous cleaners, or abrasive blasting to clean parts,
• Mask/unmask painted parts, apply localized tin plating, and light mechanical assembly
• Wash, mask, shot/abrasive blast, and apply metal flame spray to parts and weldments per establish manufacturing instructions
• Operates and maintains all types of automatic and non-automatic painting, spraying and
dipping equipment
• Applies knowledge of pigments, oils, solvents, etc. for mixing of paints to desired specifications
• Perform paint stripping of various types
• Makes paper stencils to meet marking requirements of sketches or blueprints
• Uses a spray gun for stenciling all kinds of surfaces or manufacturing articles with material such as ink, enamels, lacquer, paint, etc.
• Responsible for the testing and preparation of painting materials
• Performs minor preventive maintenance to equipment
• Receives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and procedures

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years’ experience in mixing, preparation and painting
• Can read and understand complex blueprints and sketches with respect to various paint, marking, plating and touch-up and differentiation between thread sizes, pitch, metric and standard threads
• Must be thoroughly familiar with all metals characteristics and chemical reactions as related to painting operations
• Knowledge of pigments, oils, solvents, etc. for mixing of paints to desired specifications
• Ability to work safely with chemicals such as solvents, acidic and alkaline solutions and aqueous cleaners
• Ability to qualify and retain qualifications necessary of the processes performed
• Capable of color and gloss matching of commercial and mil spec inks, paints and other materials and spraying to precise tolerances
• Ability to use various types of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness measuring equipment
Desired Skills:
• Silk Screen, stenciling, pad or other printing processes experience
• Wash, shot/abrasive blast, mask, and flame spray experience
• Chromate conversion touch up experience
• Dalic tin plating experience
• Proficient using hand tools for burr removal and metal finishing

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
