The Opportunity

Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Painter Blaster’s to join us Port Hedland, WA. This role will see you responsible for preparing and protecting steel structures, piping, and fixed plant equipment through abrasive blasting and the application of protective coatings. This includes tasks such as grit or sandblasting to remove rust, scale, or old coatings, followed by applying primers and industrial-grade paint systems to meet corrosion protection standards. The successful candidates will also join our talent pools to be used in future works across remote and regional WA.

 

About You

Trade Certificate – Highly desirable Construction Induction / White Card Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or be willing to obtain one Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, and Enter & Work in Confined Spaces within 5 years Fire Certificate within 5 years Prior experience in a FIFO role
