 The Hotel Painter performs all operations necessary to plan, prepare, patch, and paint surfaces of hotel and convention center facilities, using all types of equipment, applicators, paints and other liquid coverings. Knowledge of wall covering applications necessary. He/she works on both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring the hotel's appearance meets brand standards and guest expectations. May be assigned to assist with general maintenance or repair activities under the guidance of a team leader as required. He/she is also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Summary:

Knowledge of wall covering applications necessary. He/she works on both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring the hotel's appearance meets brand standards and guest expectations. May be assigned to assist with general maintenance or repair activities under the guidance of a team leader as required. He/she is also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner.

What you have  

Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience required.Experience in hotel building systems, or hospitality related maintenance field Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal formats Strong customer service skills Technology skills. The ability to use tablets, iPads, and computers Eagerness to work on a team and achieve goals and complete projects together Ability to work long hours if needed A strong sense of ownership in everything that you do High school diploma, equivalent, or higher  

What you’ll do  

Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure proper paint adhesion. Paint Application: Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and furniture using various tools and techniques. Color Matching: Matching existing colors and finishes, ensuring consistency throughout the property. Maintaining Surfaces: Repairing and maintaining all painted surfaces and items, including vinyl and wallpaper. Material Management: Maintaining inventory of paints, brushes, and other supplies, as well as ensuring proper storage and organization. Communicate with supervisors, other team members, and potentially guests regarding work orders, timelines, and any issues encountered. Do periodic property tours and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal, paint examination.Report emergencies and safety hazard immediately and assist with safety concerns Maintain the maintenance area or department in a clean and orderly state, to include cleaning, inspection, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Actively engage and promote safety and safe work practices, interdepartmentally and hotel wide Interact with hotel guests to resolve maintenance issues in a professional and courteous matter that is align with Mainsail standards Comply with Mainsail Lodging and Development’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations Other necessary duties as assigned by reasonably assigned

NOTICE:  The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.  All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates form their accustomed shift as business demands.  In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
