Job Summary:

The Painter I sprays the surfaces of machines, manufactured products or working area with protective or decorative material.

Additional Information:

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM, currently working 6:00 PM – 5:00 AM. This schedule may change based on business demandOvertime based on business needRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position. Starting pay is $21.90 an hour – can be adjusted based on experience2nd Shift will receive a shift premium; $1.00/hr for the first 40 hours, $1.50/hr on overtime hours
 

What you will do:

At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service Responsible for the preparation of product for paintingPreparation of paint supplies for the applicable productCompletes daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standardsPerforms daily preventative maintenance of work areaMaintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazardsPaint parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routersWorks with Material Coordinator on inventory levels to ensure production levels are maintainedPerforms other duties as assigned 
 

What you will have: 

Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to pass a fit test to ensure painting mask will fit properly and eliminate any potential safety hazardsDue to the requirement to wear a painting mask, employees must have limited facial hair
 

Physical Demands: 

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
 

Work Environment: 

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

Noise Level: Moderate

 

Summary Pay Range:

$21.90 - $29.35
