Lake-view rooms and suites, indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars, a unique floating pool, and a spa sanctuary deliver an unforgettable escape. **Position Summary:** The Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces within the facility. This role involves preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring a high-quality finish that meets the company's standards. **Critical Tasks** : · Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks. · Apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. · Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish. · Experience in plastering and repairing plasterboard walls and ceilings. · Ensure all painted surfaces are smooth and free of defects. · Maintain accurate records of painting activities, including work orders and materials used. · Collaborate with other departments to coordinate painting activities and minimize disruption to operations. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all painting activities. · Respond promptly to requests for touch-ups and repairs. **Critical Competences:** · Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials. · Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment. · Skill in plasterboard works. · Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications. · Excellent attention to detail and ability to achieve a high-quality finish. · Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments. · Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. · Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols. **Preferred Qualifications:** · High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in painting preferred. · Minimum of 3 years of experience in painting or a similar role. · Familiarity with industry-standard painting practices and procedures. · Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus. · Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. · Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. _At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
