**Job Title: Job Prep Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a Job Prep Technician, where you will play a vital role in preparing parts for painting in a high-tech aerospace manufacturing environment. This position involves working with small parts, preparing 1,500 to 3,000 parts each shift, ensuring they are ready for the painting process. **Responsibilities** + Prepare parts for painting by wiping them with acetone or isopropyl, taping them to a tray, and flipping them once painted. + Sand and deburr parts using files, wire brushes, hand grinders, or power tools. + Perform sandblasting, which can be strenuous on the hands and shoulders. + Work with small parts and maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail. + Meet production goals, deadlines, and quotas. **Essential Skills** + Ability to perform repetitive work independently with minimal supervision. + Attention to detail and focus, with good vision. + High initiative and a sense of urgency. + Prior manufacturing experience and experience in meeting production goals. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with paint and paint prep, powder coating, sanding, spray gun, industrial painting, and detailing. + Interest in hobbies like tinkering, arts and crafts, painting, or drawing. + Ability to see fine details and an eye for quality. + Ability to work around chemicals and occasionally wear a respirator or mask. + Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform simple data entry and computer functions. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
