Paid Search Specialist

1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for an for a Paid Search Specialist (6 months contract)! The Paid Search Specialist is responsible for performance of paid search (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising) with a particular focus on campaign set-up, optimization, analytics and reporting. As part of the Marketing department, you will work with a small team of paid search specialists to drive performance for our franchise partners in their local markets.

In this role you will use reporting platforms such as Google Analytics and Tableau and communicate results effectively to varied audiences, providing timely and accurate reporting. The Paid Search Specialist supports the Team Lead, Paid Search in delivering a positive return on ad spend and understands cross-channel impact within the marketing mix, working with team members to drive the success of integrated marketing programs. 

💼 A DAY IN THE LIFE

Campaign Strategy & Management

Develop and implement paid search strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising to meet business goals (e.g., traffic volume, ROAS targets). Provide expert-level management and optimization of paid search campaigns, including: Implementation and refinement of bid strategies. Conducting keyword research and structuring campaign hierarchies. Write and test compelling ad copy for search ads, including headlines and ad extensions, to improve performance and brand messaging

Segmenting and targeting audiences.

Propose and execute A/B tests and pilot new platform features, including AI-driven solutions like Performance Max campaigns, to identify new opportunities for growth.

Analysis & Reporting

Deliver a concise monthly performance report providing data-driven insights, key learnings, and strategic recommendations to internal leadership Provide ad-hoc performance analysis as requested to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary paid search expert for designated stakeholders, providing clear, professional, and results-oriented communication on strategy and performance. Collaborate with internal teams as needed to ensure campaign alignment with overall business objectives.

🎯 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

3–5+ years executing large-scale, high-performance paid search campaigns, preferably for multi-location or franchise businesses. Expertise using Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting (PivotTables, formulas, data visualization). Strong proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) for campaign tracking, attribution, and performance insights. Experience with Tableau (or other BI tools) to build and present dashboards is highly desirable.

 

💰 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Range: $38 – $50 per hour
(Hourly salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
