We are seeking a skilled Packing Engineer to join our team at Laird Vietnam in Bac Ninh. In this role, you will develop and verify packing materials for product shipments, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and packing evaluation standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Develop Packing material for shipment of product such as (Tray, Reel, Carton box, Label, etc.).
Design and verify supplier design for packing material (Tray, Reel, Carton box, etc.)
Execute the packing verification for product follow shipment condition, customer requirement and packing evaluation standards.
Communicate with customer to consult about packing requirement to make it suitable with actual packing capability.
Works collaboratively with appropriate departments/teams for packing and to source for the best packing materials.
Coordinate with other sites’ Packing and related cross function Teams to deploy for Engineering Capability such as Packing technology, Packing design, Packing requirement.
Estimates production lead time, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions for packing material.
Creation and modification of manufacturing work instructions and process documents such as WI, SOP, ECN, etc.
Follow up packing for trial of product to verify product design, process design and equipment.
Confirm packing capability and improvement, trouble solving and solution for Mass production smoothly to increase Quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings.
To support sourcing for the right and most efficient suppliers/vendors for any purchase of packing materials or service
Develop, change and enhance any processes to ensure efficient packing.
Execution and leading process improvements through Gage R&R, Cpk and SPC.
Understanding and implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and 5S techniques.
Complies with required regulatory agencies, FDA, CDA, CFDA
Education & Experience
Required:
1. Education Background: Graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Degrees in Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering will also be considered.
2. Required Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in packing for mechanical products (Tray packing, reel packing, carton parking, etc.) with any FDI manufacturing company.
3. Proficiency in English Communication: Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred:
1. Proficient in SolidWorks or other CAD applications. Experience with electronics/PCBA debugging, instrument test experiences are plus.
2. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
