Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Packaging Technician 1 perform operations starting with material receipt, down filling, and distribution from our facility in Cleveland, Ohio. As a Packaging Technician, you are responsible for receipt of materials, packaging products, and shipment of products following established procedures and controls.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform material handling tasks including labeling, staging, sampling, boxing, and palletizing using tow motors and pallet jacks.Portion and handle chemicals accurately per SOPs and batch record instructions.Complete all documentation (e.g., batch records, logbooks) in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (ALCOA).Conduct product and material inspections, room clearances, and report deviations or abnormalities promptly.Maintain facility cleanliness through routine housekeeping, disinfection, and inventory of supplies and PPE.Execute SAP transactions and support inventory control activities.Participate actively in safety initiatives, training programs, and maintain an incident-free work environment.Foster a collaborative and respectful work culture, accept feedback, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Physical Attributes:
Lift and/or moving up to 50 pounds.Wear PPE; safety glasses, respirator
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous packaging experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills.Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).Experience performing all functions in a safe and timely manner in accordance with OSHA standards and general rules and regulations governing the workplace.Experience following general personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements as established by company policy.Strong troubleshooting skills.
