Your Role:

 

At MilliporeSigma, the Packaging Operator 3 – Day Shift at our 3300 South Second/Cherokee site will be responsible for the large-scale packaging of Biological buffers, also known as Good’s buffers.  These buffers are crucial for maintaining a stable pH in a wide array of biotechnology applications, such as electrophoresis, chromatography, cell culture, vaccine manufacturing, and other applications.  This role involves utilizing automated fill lines and hand weighing processes, under ISO 9001 standards, to ensure the efficient and effective packaging of high-quality products.  Job duties include:

 

Packaging shift consisting of 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6:30 PM) with a two-week rotation: Week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) and Week 2 (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday).Provides training, operational support, and shares knowledge to foster a high-performing, motivated team environment.Leads by example in core packaging tasks by meeting or exceeding performance expectations, following safety protocols, and adhering to company and regulatory standards.Maintains strong communication by keeping supervisors informed of concerns and reporting unsafe conditions to management.Troubleshoots departmental issues and demonstrates thorough knowledge of operating systems and procedures.Participates in process improvement initiatives, including testing and implementing new practices to enhance efficiency, customer service, and compliance.Ensures work areas, stock locations, and orders are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.Demonstrates reliability through exemplary attendance, schedule adherence, and completing miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED. 6 months packaging experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and perform hand weighing operations. Also able to setup and run drum massager, delumper, filling machine, capper, automated labeler, and other ergonomic equipment.Knowledge of product flow throughout the packaging process.Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally and written. Ability to work in a group setting.  Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-pace environment.    Demonstrated problem-solving and team building skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

 

 

Pay Range for this position: $39,520-72,800

 

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
