Your Role:

 

The Packaging Operator 2 at the Spruce site will stage, fill, cap, label, and over pack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products per approved packaging specifications and according to safety and quality protocols. Job duties include:

 

Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PMFill, cap, and label chemical productsManually fill liquids or powdersIndependently set-up and operate semi-automated fill linesPerform routine cleaning to semi-automated equipment

 

Physical Attributes:

 

Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hair nets, beard covers (if applicable), Tyvek suits, shoe covers, and respiratorLift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted & move more than 50 pounds with assistanceWork area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot, or coldSit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for the entire shiftUse close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjust focusWork with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals and human source materials

 

 Who You Are:

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED6+ months experience in packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, processing, or a customer service environment 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Some college coursework in chemistry or other science6+ months of previous experience weighing chemicals3+ months of experience in ISO/GMP regulated environmentAbility to do basic math-including metrics and conversionsKnowledge of safety rules, GMP, SOP’s, UOP’sMechanical skills with the ability to use pumps, electronic balances, and material handling equipmentTroubleshoot automated packaging equipmentStrong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skillsTrain others and work in a team settingExperience with hand tools
