Job Description:
As a Packaging Engineer at Mars, you will support development and deployment activities, determine the sequence of development operations, and define technical readiness for new product launches. Significant collaboration is expected with all engineers, technicians and managers within the region and central teams.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements
BS degree in Packaging Engineering, Engineering or equivalent
3+ years in engineering technology development (preferably food industry)
Consistently meets or exceeds the standards and expectations of internal and external customers and consumers
Manage scale-up risk and introduction of technology into supply chain
Demonstrated process and packaging science, packaging engineering, machine design development and design through virtual prototyping methods
Willingness to travel 30%
What will be your key responsibilities?
Direct leadership of key packaging development projects.
Responsibilities for corrugated shipping containers and cans in the wet food space
Support the translation of technology from ideas into virtual and working proof of principle models.
Support scale-up and transition of knowledge from the Global Packaging Machine Design team to third party machine builders for scale-up to full scale working machines
Innovation engineering development of new science and technology
Forming effective knowledge/technology teams (internal and external) to overcome hurdles to advance ideas and concepts.
