Role Objective

Packaging solution creation, perform tests, and implementation that are functional, cost-effective, safe, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities.

Create packaging solution for products or parts, providing detailed guidance and specifications to suppliersFollowing procedures in approving all packaging for a specific product line. Monitoring and evaluating quality and effectiveness of existing packaging, addressing issues caused by transportation damageLead complex NPI/NSI Projects (1000+ Parts, heavy parts more than 1000 Kg)Packaging spec sheet review upon receipt considering facility requirement and signoff with supplierCreate Outbound packaging solution and signoff with internal and external customerOutbound packaging solution implementation in collaboration with cross functional teamUnderstands all different cost elements that need to be considered for packaging solution. Documents cost correctly in PVT.Able to run packaging cost analysis on complex supply chain scenarios multiple suppliers, receiving facilities.Able to run loop size analysis on complex supply chain scenarios (multiple supplier / multiple facilities)Identify and implement packaging cost saving projectsCustomer Management: NPI Project status to SCM/Purchase Manager and above levelPackaging Quality issue resolution: Identify RCCA, Supplier follow up and implementation of improved solution.

Required Skill and Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or equivalent experience desired3+ years of experience in packagingStrong knowledge of packaging technology, materials and design principles with knowledge of testing methods, regulations and standards for packaging.Familiarity with production equipment and manufacturing processes.Understanding of sustainability and environmental issues related to packaging.Strong creativity skills for developing unique packaging solutions using current trendsUnderstanding of regulatory requirements related to packaging materials and design.Ability to work collaboratively or individually.Resolves complex customer complaints or problems
