Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer to support new product introductions and maintain existing product lines. This role involves handling component specifications, overseeing production execution, conducting package testing, and investigating consumer complaints. The engineer will play a key role in packaging technology transfer efforts, ensuring technical accuracy in BOM (Bill of Material) creation, drawing reviews, package testing, line trials, artwork validation, and packaging data creation.

ResponsibilitiesSupport new product introductions and product line maintenance.Manage component specifications and production execution.Conduct package testing and investigate consumer complaints.Facilitate packaging technology transfer efforts.Ensure accuracy in BOM creation, drawing reviews, and package testing.Oversee line trials, artwork validation, and packaging data creation.Essential SkillsExperience in Packaging Development, from concept to execution.Proficiency in creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM).Background in the consumer product industry, specifically skincare, cosmetics, haircare, or food manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsBA degree in an engineering-related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in building specifications and BOM.Experience with secondary and tertiary packaging.A background in skincare is a plus.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Windsor, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
