PACKAGING DEVELOPER EXTERNAL OPERATIONS 

Location: Barcelona Hub 

 

Packaging Developer External Operations is managing  different cross functional projects like; new Product Launches: Supporting the Initiative Management Portfolio for each brand, value Protection Projects: Adapting the existing portfolio to meet new requirements sustainability Analysis Projects: Advancing initiatives aligned with Coty’s sustainability roadmap and Technology Transfers: Facilitating transitions in line with the Manufacturing Operation Plan. 

 

RESPONSABILITIES 

 

In this role as a Packaging Developer External Operations you may be responsible for:

 

Technical Feasibility: Assessing the technical feasibility of packaging projects based on Third Party Manufacturers' (TPMs) capabilities.  Sustainability Assessment: Ensuring alignment with Coty’s sustainability objectives and roadmap.  Packaging Development: Collaborating with internal teams (Marketing and R&D) and external partners (suppliers and TPMs) to design and develop primary and secondary packaging.  Artwork Approval: Reviewing and approving the technical aspects of packaging artwork in collaboration with Marketing, Regulatory, and Formulators.  Print Trials: Supervising and approving print trials with decoration suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.  Quality Standards: Establishing quality standards, including range boards, to support effective quality control.  Tertiary Packaging: Designing and developing tertiary packaging solutions in collaboration with TPMs.  Specifications: Preparing and sharing comprehensive packaging specifications with Suppliers, TPMs, and Coty Quality teams.  Bills of Materials (BOM): Generating and maintaining accurate BOMs for finished goods within the system.  Updates and Revisions: Revising specifications and BOMs as needed to accommodate project updates or changes.  Line Trials: Supervising and approving line trials with TPMs to validate packaging compatibility with production processes.

Other than that, you will have: 

 

Successfully completed a technical bachelor’s degree such as Engineering, Desing or Related Field.  Minimum 5-years’ experience in a similar position in Cosmetic, Pharma or FMCG environment.  Fluent written and spoken English skills is a must  Strong sense of individual accountability  Works independently, requiring little supervisory direction  Problem Solver  Customer/Service orientation  Demonstrated analytical skills  Able to handle large volumes of work and change priorities as needed  Availability to travel occasionally if required
