Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio **Your role and responsibilities** As an SAP Application Security Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure SAP landscapes for our clients. You will support the definition of security concepts, perform risk assessments, configure roles and authorizations, and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements. You will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure secure deployment of SAP solutions across the entire system lifecycle, from development to production. Key responsibilities include: * Design and implement SAP roles and authorizations (user access and segregation of duties) * Manage user provisioning and identity lifecycle processes * Conduct SAP security assessments and risk analyses * Support audit activities and remediation plans (SOX, GDPR, etc.) * Work across SAP modules (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, BW, etc.) ensuring consistent security standards * Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce security policies and procedures **Required technical and professional expertise** * Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security and Authorizations * Strong knowledge of SAP role design and user administration * Experience with SAP GRC Access Control (ARM, ARA, BRM, EAM) * Familiarity with common regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) * Solid understanding of SAP security architecture across modules (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori) * Experience with end-to-end user access provisioning processes * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment * Proficient in English (spoken and written) **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with SAP Cloud solutions (e.g., SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.) * Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools and integrations * Exposure to SAP HANA database security concepts * Previous experience in security remediation projects during SAP upgrades or migrations * Understanding of security-related configurations in Fiori Launchpad * Certifications in SAP Security or GRC modules IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
