**Overnight Veterinary Assistant** **Location: Ottawa, ON** **Ottawa Veterinary Hospital** is welcoming a full-time overnight Veterinary Assistant to join our growing emergency and urgent care team! **Your role will be:** + Assisting Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients + Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients + General hospital maintenance including cleaning + Admitting and discharging pet patients + Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments **What’s required?** + Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty with clients + Compassion and nurturing attitude when providing care to clients and patients + Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations + Initiative in carrying out assignments independently + Must be flexible and available to work shift work weekdays, weekends and holidays. + Previous veterinary experience or graduation from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred **What VCA Canada Offers** Join our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
