The Opportunity:

The new Four Seasons Hotel Nashville seeks an Overnight In-Room Dining Server to join our talented pre-opening team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company!

An individual who can provide guests with a world-class In-Room Dining experience in the comfort and convenience of a guests’ own room or suite. An ability to make a quick rapport, a talented eye for detail, and a smart intuition will make a successful candidate.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest’s order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.  Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality; properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.  Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-roomTransport items to the guestroom in a timely manner while ensuring proper food qualityGreet guests by name, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standardsBreakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stationsAnticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requestsProperly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary mealsTake guest orders in the absence of order takerPlate and prepare small food itemsPerform other tasks or projects as assigned by managementAssist with service of food itemsAssist with set-up and cleaning of operational areasAssists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage or related workMust be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shiftsStrong written and oral skills. Ability to communicate professionally and accuratelyAbility to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environmentStrong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
