Overhead Line Apprentice

Wood is recruiting for Overhead Linesworker Apprentices to play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and repairing overhead transmission lines. The Apprenticeship will begin the 3 year program in September 2025. The initial apprenticeship will begin in Darlington, with travel throughout the UK for additional training.

To provide an overhead lines service to Wood Transmission and Distribution on a variety of sites, adhering to the client safety procedures Overhead Line Apprentice will be expected to assist with building, maintaining and repairing overhead transmission lines using approved standards under direction of the Chargehand, Foreman, General Foreman. Willingness to travel is a must.
