Today, we are recruiting for an Overhead Catenary System Site Installation Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

 

What are my responsibilities?

Conduct site inspections and surveys to verify readiness prior to OCS installation. Supervise installation of poles, accessories, and contact wires according to contract and design specifications. Lead and coordinate your on-site team, ensuring productivity and adherence to project timelines. Monitor daily progress, report material damage, and submit field instructions to maintain installation flow. Prepare and update time schedules, red-mark drawings, and as-built documentation for installation sections. Ensure compliance with Siemens Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including method statement checks and toolbox talks.  

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical education 2–5 years of relevant on-site experience in OCS or similar rail electrification projects Familiarity with governmental handover procedures and public sector project standards Training or experience in EHS practices such as OHSAS, NFPA 70E, Lockout-Tagout, and Safe Lifting Ability to read construction/shop drawings and prepare installation method statements Experience in supervising subcontractors on site Proficiency in Microsoft Office Fluent in English with professional negotiation skills; Arabic and German are a plus Valid driving license and willingness to travel to multiple project locations
