Job Description
The Outreach Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating enrollment in Qualified Health Plans, insurance affordability programs, and other public service assistance programs. This position requires a commitment to providing culturally and linguistically appropriate information and services to diverse populations.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in training and certification activities to understand all facets of outreach benefits.Independently schedule and conduct enrollment assistance at designated locations.Assist individuals as they enroll or enter information into the outreach benefits self-service portal.Track the status of pending applications and upload necessary customer documents.Submit documentation for Manual ID Verification for customers unable to verify their identity through Experian.Provide information and services in a fair, accurate, and impartial manner.Deliver information in a manner that meets the cultural and linguistic needs of the population being served, including individuals with limited English proficiency.Respond to customer inquiries by confirming understanding, gathering information, and verifying customer comprehension.Generate and submit weekly reports of required data, including applications, enrollments, and renewals.Essential SkillsProficiency in social service, social work, human service, and community outreach.Strong computer skills and familiarity with applicable applications.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Must reside in Oldham, Trimble, Henry County, KY.Must have car insurance.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of community resources and the Affordable Care Act.Skill in preparing detailed reports and plans.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to present information to various populations appropriately.Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and keep appointments.Skill in maintaining accurate records.Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.Capability to work independently.Work Environment
Work hours go from Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
The work environment includes both office settings and various locations for setting up tables to engage with clients and share information about different plans and enrollment options offered by KIPDA.
It is essential to attend events in the respective counties to provide social services effectively. The role includes 8.5 paid holidays and up to 5 days of PTO, with 1 day earned for every 30 days worked.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.52 - $20.52/hr.
