Summary: The Outreach Nurse provides on-site health screenings for law enforcement trainees and staff at FLETC facilities. Screenings are conducted in designated conference rooms and are designed to promote early detection, health education, and wellness support in alignment with FLETC health service protocols. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Conduct health screenings including vital signs, biometric assessments, and wellness evaluations in designated conference rooms Educate trainees and staff on health risks, preventive care, and wellness strategies Document screening results and maintain confidential health records in accordance with HIPAA and FLETC guidelines Coordinate with Health Unit staff and supervising physician to ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up Support health promotion initiatives and contribute to the development of outreach materials and events Ensure screening equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and available for scheduled sessions Travel to other FLETC sites (Artesia, Charleston) as needed to support outreach activities Maintain a professional and approachable presence during all outreach events Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with federal health documentation standards and confidentiality protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Minimum Qualifications: Active licensure as either: Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Nurse Practitioner (NP) Clinical experience, preferably in public health, occupational health, or wellness programs Experience with health education and preventive care initiatives DHS requires BLS certification Must have a Public Trust clearance Pay and Benefits At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
