As a Pharmacy Technician in the Outpatient Infusion Center, you will play a vital role in preparing intravenous compounds for neurology patients. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching and research activities. This team embraces a positive attitude and respects and supports one another to provide the best care possible. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM-4:00PM or 8:00AM-4:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding. + Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner. + Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections. + Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training. + Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks. + Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA). + Hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee + **Please note:** Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within six months + Understanding of algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Six months of hospital experience + Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
