The Wound Center at Arnot Health is seeking a dedicated and professional Administrative Assistant to support our outpatient services team. This role is crucial to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients while keeping clinic operations running efficiently. You'll be responsible for front desk support, patient intake, billing coordination, scheduling, and providing general administrative assistance to our clinical team. What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing and distributing daily schedules and handling front desk check-ins
Answering calls courteously, routing medical inquiries to clinical staff
Registering patients, verifying and updating demographic and insurance information
Collecting co-pays and maintaining accurate records of daily receipts
Preparing billing forms and tracking daily encounters
Scheduling patient appointments, tests, referrals, and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed
Providing instructions and follow-up information to patients as directed by providers
Scanning, filing, and managing medical records and documentation according to protocol
Assisting with general office duties including mail distribution, office supply ordering, and supporting the clinical team as needed
Maintaining professional appearance and adhering to patient safety and confidentiality standards
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in secretarial sciences preferred
Minimum of three years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
Familiarity with billing, coding, and electronic medical records is helpful
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced outpatient environment
