Summary

Supports the Clinical Manager/Director in the daily operations of the department; and in the mentoring and professional development of nursing staff. Facilitates the delivery of optimal patient care by the healthcare team through delegation, facilitation, collaboration, critical thinking and prioritization. Is accountable for the management of care and the care environment by ensuring effective communication through all member of the healthcare team. Conducts all activities while ensuring compliance with Parkview, Nursing and regulatory department requirements and established policies under the supervision of the Management Team.

Education

Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licensure/Certification

Must provide current RN license by Indiana State Board of Nursing. Must have current CPR, PALS certifications.

Experience

Must have two or more years experience as a nurse in an acute care setting. Additional two years of outpatient setting experience preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Knowledge of federal regulations and state licensure requirements. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates working knowledge of computer systems. Must demonstrate competency in the delivery of patient care including competency-based practice and age specific care.
