OT Network Systems Engineer
Job Title: OT Network Systems & Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Onsite (with travel to field sites as needed)Industry: Energy / UtilitiesDepartment: Operational Technology (OT) / ICS InfrastructurePosition Summary:

We are seeking a skilled OT Network & Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure and resilient network and virtual server infrastructure supporting the remote control and monitoring of natural gas pipeline facilities. This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity within our Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment.

Key Responsibilities:Engineer and maintain OT network and virtual server infrastructure.Deploy and upgrade systems with zero disruption to pipeline operations.Manage projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery.Ensure compliance with TSA and Public Service Commission (PSC) cybersecurity regulations.Architect and maintain segmented network infrastructure using the Purdue Model and OT protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3).Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support internal and external projects.Troubleshoot OT application, network, and communication issues.Test and deploy patches and updates across OT infrastructure.Manage identity and access control systems for OT environments.Administer and configure firewalls, routers, and switches.Specify, procure, and oversee installation of network hardware and physical media (fiber, CAT5/6).Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams and asset inventories.Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, segmentation, routing).Experience with VMWareExperience with EXSIExperience with Cisco applications and network equipment (firewalls, routers, switches).Demonstrated experience in ICS/OT environments.Proficiency in troubleshooting across all OSI model layers.Familiarity with OT protocols and the Purdue Model for ICS networks.Strong understanding of network media (fiber, CAT5/6).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to write technical documentation and learn through self-study or instructor-led training.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with virtual machines, hypervisors, and bare metal servers.Knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.Experience with PLC/RTU installation and programming.Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools.Experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies.Employee Value Proposition (EVP):

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
