OT Cybersecurity Risk & Compliance Specialist
Job Description An employer in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas is looking for an OT Cybersecurity Risk & Compliance Specialist. This role supports cybersecurity risk and compliance efforts across the America region, focusing on technical risk, human risk, and regulatory risk. The analyst will design and evaluate controls, track evolving regulations, and review technical solutions to ensure alignment with internal standards and external compliance requirements. On a daily basis this person will review and assess solution designs for cybersecurity risks (e.g., firewalls, networking, IAM, cloud exposure); manage operational tasks via ServiceNow (e.g., firewall change reviews); conduct project-based risk assessments and regulatory tracking (e.g., Texas and Louisiana regulations); interpret and apply compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, TSA, FEMSA, maritime cybersecurity); and collaborate with adjacent teams in operations, IT, and cyber delivery. Lastly, they must be OK sitting onsite 3-4 days a week. This position pays between $80-90/hr depending on skillset and experience. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of operations experience within any IT domain (cyber, networking, infrastructure, etc) Experience developing and maintaining cybersecurity reference architecture Experience conducting cybersecurity assessments and risk evaluations Experience monitoring and reporting cybersecurity risk landscape Experience regulating compliance for international operations Strong understanding of Zero trust architecture design principles Experience implementing cyber security standards and frameworks effectively (SOX, HIPPA, GDPR,etc) Bachelor's Degree or higher Certifications like CISSP, GCDA, or others preferred Experience in OT and critical infrastructure advantageous null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
