Position Responsibilities

Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and their families.Perform stoma site marking and assessment.Manage and assess stoma complications and provide appropriate interventions.Provide wound care and skin care around the stoma site.Educate patients on ostomy care products and their proper usage.Develop individualized care plans for patients with ostomies.Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.Conduct routine follow-up visits with patients to monitor progress and address concerns.Offer psychological and emotional support to patients adjusting to life with an ostomy.Educate healthcare staff on best practices for ostomy care.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

 

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited College of NursingCurrent FL Nursing LicenseCurrent Basic Life Support requiredCWOCN certification required
