**We are searching for the best talent for Ortho Warehouse Team Lead to be in Grecia, Costa Rica.**
**Purpose:**
Reporting to the Plan Logistics Manager, the Team Lead will lead the materials handling team to support DePuy Synthes Operations in receiving, storing, shipping, and repacking materials, while focusing on team leadership, training, development, and operational excellence.
This role is crucial for collaborating with Global PP&L Planning Teams to assess and consolidate direct materials supply demand, manage supply risks with external suppliers and business partners, and escalate significant issues to senior stakeholders to mitigate short- and medium-term supply challenges.
This role ensures the safe, complaint, and efficient storage, movement of Raw Materials, Work in Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods in accordance with Free Trade Zone (FTZ) regulatory requirements and Johnson & Johnson internal standards.
As we set up our new site, it will be crucial for the Warehouse Team Lead to work closely with our IT project teams as we set up our new ERP system. This will involve testing and ensuring all necessary transactions are available for warehouse movements, along with training of new hires as they come on board.
This Leader will work closely with our in-house business excellence team to ensure all site standards are met in the warehouse
**You will be responsible for:**
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
+ Work closely with a team of MRP planners and oversee warehouse personnel for both inbound and outbound duties.
+ Oversee management of inbound and outbound docks for transportation from our 3PL external warehouse and our global transportation partners.
+ Oversee third party integrators that will be in a shared space in the warehouse to ensure there is no disruption and sign off inbound inventory from these suppliers where required.
+ Oversee and coordinate all aspects of materials replenishment and warehouse operations.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (FTZ, Financial, EHS, Quality Assurance) for materials replenishment and warehouse operations.
+ Develop and execute strategies for direct materials replenishment and supplier integration, including cost reduction and supplier performance management.
+ Identify, lead, and implement improvement projects to reduce supply chain risks and enhance capability, utilizing change management methodologies.
+ Regularly review and update operating procedures while providing necessary training.
+ Ensure timely completion of training and certification for the Materials Handling team.
+ Establish and implement standard operating procedures for materials handling and inventory management.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve materials-related challenges and oversee cross-functional process management.
+ Provide technical leadership in daily operations involving materials reception, storage, issuing, shipping, and repacking, and drive system improvements.
+ Interface effectively with key business partners within Planning, Quality, Operations, EHS, Finance, IT, and Logistics to resolve operational issues.
+ Monitor production schedules to assess changes in resourcing and storage requirements and adjust accordingly.
+ Manage budgetary constraints and operate within approved spending limits.
+ Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
+ Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
+ For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
+ Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
+ Performs other duties assigned as needed
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics & transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in materials replenishment, warehousing, and team leadership.
+ Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships effectively.
+ Proficiency in relevant software and systems used in supply chain and warehouse management.
+ Project management tools and techniques. Six Sigma and/or Lean Certification (FPX, JJOS, JJPS, Green Belt or Black Belt) is preferred.
+ Experience in medical device operations/cGMP environment highly desirable
+ Understanding of Health, Safety and legal requirements for the safe operation of the team
+ Fluent in English and Spanish.

+ Stakeholder management of multi decision makers, colleagues, peers and cross functional teams.
+ Expertise in 3PL management, warehouse and transportation operations
+ Ability to make effective decisions.
+ Minimum of 5 years leading a team in similar environment of logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
+ Strong analytical skills to make quantitative projections and recommendations.
+ Demonstrated ability to fully realize improvement initiatives.
+ The lead must be proactive, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow assignments through to completion
+ Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP/SAP EWM or similar (JDE, Oracle, WMS, IMs)
