Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. 

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for an Organisational Change Manager in Canberra to work on a key Coalition Project.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Develop and execute change management strategies that support the transformation of the Pegasus Program into a reliable, trusted FVEY C4I capability, ensuring alignment with Defence’s strategic objectives.Facilitate collaboration and communication between Australian Defence stakeholders and international coalition partners to ensure consistent understanding and adoption of CSI capabilities.Guide the integration of Pegasus and DMSE transformation outcomes into Australia’s Defence operating model, ensuring business benefits are realised and sustained.Promote awareness and acceptance of new systems and processes across APS and ADF personnel, addressing resistance and fostering a culture of interoperability and collaboration.Assess organisational readiness, track adoption metrics, and adjust change plans to ensure successful delivery of multinational interoperability outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

Demonstrated involvement in coalition or FVEY initiatives, with an understanding of interoperability challenges and multinational coordination. Proven success in leading change across large-scale Defence ICT programs, particularly those involving C4I systems and secure information sharing.Strong background in managing diverse stakeholder groups, including Defence leadership, technical teams, and international counterparts.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
