The Org Effectiveness Advisor plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall effectiveness of the Southwest organization by providing strategic insights and solutions for the workforce. This role identifies the need for and leads initiatives that drive organizational change and efficiency across Southwest, aligning with organizational objectives, financial commitments, and operational needs. The Org Effectiveness Advisor is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, ready to implement transformative initiatives across Southwest Airlines.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for efficiencies related to workforce, structures, and ways of working. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.Design and implement targeted interventions to address specific organizational challenges. Utilize data-driven approaches to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.Support and enable organizational effectiveness initiatives through a tiered support model, ensuring scalable and sustainable impact across the organization. Create enterprise frameworks and act as an SME for business leaders and HRBPs in organizational effectiveness disciplines; enable others through knowledge transfer and application, including the training the trainer model as appropriateUse data and analytics to build robust business cases for proposed initiatives. Ensure decisions are grounded in empirical evidence and aligned with organizational goals.Conduct research, leverage industry best practices, and SWA organizational context to inform decision-making processes. Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in organizational effectiveness.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization (Finance, HR, and Executives). Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and reporting of success measures to drive alignment and support for organizational effectiveness initiatives.Supports the design, development, and implementation of OE tools, forums, and training required to deliver business resultsMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of organizational design principles, workforce planning and methodologies.Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to leverage data to inform decisionsAwareness of current trends and developments in organizational effectivenessAbility to conduct and apply research to build a business case to drive organizational improvementsAbility to drive work through influence and not position including peers, leaders, and team members across functionsAbility to work in a collaborative manner and contribute with shared ownership to design and implement solutionsAbility to build partnerships quickly and effectively with business leaders, build trusted relationships with stakeholders to understand relevant business needsAbility to liaise with COEs and business-aligned resources to create targeted training solutions aligned to enterprise-wide strategies and solutionsSkilled in identifying solutions to business problems and partnering with HRBPs and business leaders to develop solutions to meet customer needs in alignment with Southwest strategic objectivesSkilled in excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation with ability to effectively communicate with senior level leadership and business leaders across the organizationSkilled in excellent organization, project management, and time managementSkilled in excellent decision making and problem-solving with the ability to make sound judgments and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervisionEducationRequired: High School Diploma or GED

ExperienceExpert-level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:Organizational development, workforce planning, or organizational designManaging projects independently, engaging and getting consensus from PartnersPreferred: Experience in launching transformational change across an enterprise  Licensing/CertificationN/A

Physical AbilitiesAbility to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the jobAbility to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits

Competitive market salary from $128,350 - $142,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
