Job Description
Order to Cash Data Lead
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Data Lead across the Order To Cash team in Gilead to develop a long-term roadmap and implementation plan for the deployment of SAP master data management activities within Gilead and its associated affiliates. This position will manage Data Requirements and Governance related to our Business Operations across Order to Cash. Candidate will play a key role ensuring end user success in SAP implementation by collaborating cross-functionally with program sponsors, process owners, and IT. Additionally, the OTC Data Lead will support Global Business Operations projects and change.
Master Data Governance refers to the process of managing and maintaining master data in a consistent, accurate, and reliable manner across the Gilead organization. It involves establishing rules, policies, roles and workflows to ensure the quality, integrity and lifecycle management of customer data. This data is foundational for processes across Sales, manufacturing, Supply chain and finance. This role will responsible for establishing the end to end linkages for master data between different process areas, and different systems.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Data Quality Management: Ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and uniqueness of master data. Tools and checks can identify duplicate of incomplete records.Create Data Quality Rules, build dashboards by material types to measure the data qualityBuild Data Dictionary at an attribute level that defines ownership of each attributeEstablish the attributes that should have LOV. Once identified, ensure LOV’s follow data standards that have been establishedData Standards and Policies: Establish clear rules of how master data should be created, updated and managed. For example:
Naming conventionsData fields required for each material typeApproval processes for creating new customer data recordsDefine Roles and Responsibilities: Define who is responsible for:Creating and approving master data recordsEnsuring compliance with data policiesAuditing data accuracy and updatesBuild Data Lineage: Data lineage is crucial in data governance because it provides a clear view of the origin, transformation, movement, and consumption of data across an organization. It helps stakeholders understand how data flows through systems, processes, and business operations, ensuring data quality, trust, and compliance.Process for Data Migration / Industry Standards: Document the process for data migration in case of a divesture/acquisition:Engage strategically with business partners functions by providing appropriate guidance on data operations specific to Order to CashMaintains and assists with the implementation of Order to Cash Governance policies, procedures, techniques, standards, and systems. Contribution to the development of complex new concepts, styles, and operation standards.Assist with the preparation of project plans and manage projects to successful and timely completion. Provides expertise to the team and functional areas to anticipate and identify complex project issues that challenge achieving strategic goals.Accountable for planning master data readiness in each planning cycle for assigned order to cash affiliates.Act as Customer Master data owner for cross-functional or external contacts.May assist in developing system and improvement data configuration activities/projects supporting Gilead's existing and future business plansBeing responsible for personnel management, selects, develops, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the functionOversee daily operations and escalation of data operations functions. Ensure SLAs exist and monitor response time. Review and approve quality actions including Non-Conformances (NC) and/or Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)Assist project team in determining and socializing project value and end user benefitProvide updates on status and blockers during data meetingsDocument and escalate key issues and risks to Data & leadership teamWork with other SAP Workstreams (STS, PTD, RTR) to ensure critical data dependencies are managed and adhered to.Responsible for coordination between business units and leads, to assess impacts and affectsRequirements:
Relevant experience in Data Lead role in the life sciences and/healthcare or biopharma, industry preferredExperience with large-scale organizational change effortsExperience with large scale SAP Implementations A solid understanding of Data GovernanceExperience and knowledge of data management principles, methodologies and toolsAble to develop solutions to a wide range of complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovationExceptional verbal and written communication skills.
