Order & Supply Chain Specialist - temporary position for 7 months (60% working time)

The Position

As part of PTDS Global Clinical Supply Chain Management, the Production Enablement function‬ ensures that packaging operations can produce material required by Roche’s clinical trials‬ seamlessly, on-time, and while optimizing cost/quality. Within Production Enablement the Global‬ Clinical Order Management team is responsible for preparing any kind of packaging orders that will‬ be produced at our clinical packaging facilities in Kaiseraugst and South San Francisco.‬ 

The opportunity:

As  Order & Supply Chain Specialist your tasks would be to‬‭ ensure smooth handling of primary and‬ secondary packaging orders in the packaging horizon and a timely global supply of clinical‬‭ trials with IMPs. This includes:‬ 

‭ ● ‬ ‭ Manage in-house packaging orders and drive the “on-time in-full” delivery of IMPs.‬ 
‭ ● ‬ ‭ Be accountable for the set-up of Standard Packaging Designs in cooperation with the Clinical‬ Supply Chain Lead (CSCL), other Productions Enablement teams, Master Data Deployment team,‬ ‭ Packaging Operations, and Quality Units.‬ 
‭ ● ‬ ‭ Be responsible for the set-up of‬‭ non‬-standard Packaging Designs whereby the Global Production‬ ‭ Enablement Leader (GPEL) is accountable.‬ 
‭ ● ‬ ‭ Manage operational issues and discrepancies with Quality Units. Escalates any major in-house‬ packaging-related issue with impact to the end-to-end timeline to the CSCL.‬ 
‭ ● ‬ ‭ Enable the Medication Randomization process for blinded studies.‬

‭ ● ‬ ‭ Manage the end-to-end process for shelf life extension (SLE) orders of finished goods and‬ manage additional stickering of orders‬.

Who You Are

Over 5 years of experience in clinical supply chain management and 3+ years of experience in shelf life management is a strong asset.

Skilled in using ERP systems such as SAP, OMP, or APO.

Proficient in English and German with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Customer and patient-focused with the ability to build trustful relationships and manage global collaborations effectively.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with strong planning and problem-solving skills.

Experienced in project management and process performance improvement, with a compliance-oriented mindset.
