Order Management Specialist

We are looking for an order management specialist, to help us shape the future.

 

Based in Heredia, Costa Rica, you will be responsible for responding to all inquiries from new and established customers, processing requests for quotes, entering orders, managing orders, and working with functional areas throughout the organization to ensure customer satisfaction.
 

Main responsibilities

Support the sale of products by partnering with the Sales Team to increase sales by managing quote requests, sales leads, product promotions and analysis of sales data.Review customer specifications, applications, and terms and conditions, with assistance from Engineering or Marketing.  Process requests for quote by providing pricing and product availability.Process orders from customers. Continuously develop product knowledge through internal and/or external trainingsProcess customer returns and claims in a timely manner and initiate corrective action if necessaryParticipate in cross-functional projects impacting the department and the organizationInterface with various departments within the company to meet the needs of the customer to ensure timely delivery and accurate receipt of products.  Departments such as Shipping, Scheduling, Quality, Manufacturing, Credit, Finance, Engineering and Product Management.

 

Who are we looking for?

Business administration bachelor’s degreeMinimum of two years’ experience in inside sales/account managementProficiency in Microsoft Office SystemsKnowledge of ERP SAP, Mainframe a plusAnalytical, documentation, and problem-solving skillsTechnical aptitude to understand product functionality, specifications and applicationExcellent written and verbal skillsDesire and ability to excel in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environmentMotivated both individually and on a team level.Organizational, time management and follow-up skillsKnowledge of Wire and Cable industry and experience in distribution environment a plus.
