The Global Logistics department operates within the Global Supply Chain Management organization, serving a diverse range of stakeholders including direct customers, commercial partners, over 20 manufacturing sites, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and logistics service providers. Our stakeholders are globally dispersed and operate within the biopharmaceutical industry.
About the role
As the Lead of the Global Order Management team, you will oversee a team responsible for managing distributor orders. Your team acts as the critical liaison between distributors, commercial stakeholders, manufacturing site planners and distribution colleagues. The primary objective is to align customer expectations with operational capabilities to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Lead and manage a team of 6, also handling escalations and complex operations.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with production, sales, and other teams for smooth order fulfillment.Act as the expert on team processes, training members and driving improvements.Organize meetings, provide operational backup and manage critical tasks.Lead and support projects to enhance logistics operations.Ensure compliance with trade regulations and drive continuous improvements.Serve as the main escalation point for operational issues.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in logistics, commercial or economicsPeople management experience3+ years in MTO/ATO order managementFluent in English and DutchExperienced with SAP and ERP systemsStrong planning, leadership and communication skillsProject management experienceKnowledge of import/export complianceProactive problem solverWhat we offer
