We are seeking two experienced orbital welders to join our team in the greater Raleigh market. This role involves working on high purity pipe projects using AMI 208/217 equipment, primarily with 1/4-inch tubing. While the majority of the work is local, some travel to South Carolina is required, with attractive per diem rates. Candidates must be adept at performing 6g orbital weld tests, blanking systems, setting programs, and executing welds.
ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality orbital welding on high purity pipes using AMI 208/217.Handle and weld 1/4-inch tubing efficiently.Conduct 6g orbital weld tests to ensure precision.Blank systems and set programs for welding.Engage in face-to-face interviews to discuss experience and company expectations.
Essential SkillsExperience in orbital welding, particularly with high purity pipes.Proficient in using AMI 208/217 welding equipment.Ability to perform 6g orbital weld tests.Minimum OSHA-10 certification; OSHA-30 for foreman or leadership roles.
Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in pipe fitting is essential.Skills in weld, blueprint reading, structure, pipe welding, stainless steel, fabrication, TIG and MIG welding, flux core, and quality inspection.
