We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, and Oracle GoldenGate, along with strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment supporting development, testing, and production systems with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities: Database Administration & Maintenance

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, or later).

Manage database schemas, tablespaces, storage structures, and objects (indexes, views, etc.).

Perform database patching and upgrades with minimal downtime.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

Configure and support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM environments.

Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.

Conduct regular DR drills to validate business continuity planning.

Performance Tuning & Monitoring

Monitor database health and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

Analyze and resolve performance issues involving storage, CPU, memory, and query optimization.

Use tools such as AWR, ASH, and ADDM for in-depth performance diagnostics.

Security & Compliance

Implement database security including user/role management, encryption, and auditing.

Ensure databases adhere to internal security policies and external compliance requirements.

Automation & Support

Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or tools like Ansible.

Collaborate with application teams to optimize SQL and support development needs.

Troubleshoot database issues and act as the primary point of contact for database incidents.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Generate and deliver regular reports on performance, capacity planning, and system health.

Required Qualifications & Skills: Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.

Proficient in using RMAN, OEM, and SQL*Plus.

Knowledge of advanced Oracle features like partitioning, materialized views, and indexing.

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Familiarity with automation/scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).

Exposure to CI/CD environments and DevOps practices is a plus.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 4 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certifications preferred.
