Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Oracle BRM Production Support Specialist to oversee day-to-day operations of the Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) platform, including integration with upstream and downstream systems. This role involves managing incident resolution, ensuring system compliance, and providing technical leadership for a 24x7x365 production environment.
Lead daily production support activities for the Oracle BRM billing platform and associated systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to BRM architecture, infrastructure, security, and integrations.
Manage support ticket queues and ensure timely resolution in alignment with defined SLAs.
Supervise Level 1 support engineers and maintain an ongoing training plan to enhance their technical capabilities.
Define and track team metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and performance standards.
Establish and continuously improve 24x7x365 system support processes and incident response workflows.
Maintain proactive and accurate communication with business stakeholders.
Support all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, integration, and QA support.
Ensure compliance with audit, security, and operational procedures across all environments.
Participate in architectural discussions and provide input on system, network, and database design.
Assist in automation and continuous integration efforts, including test automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve QA and production issues, including developing and deploying code fixes.
Produce comprehensive documentation, including technical manuals and support guides.
Lead or participate in design/code reviews, risk assessments, and post-incident reviews.
Identify system or process inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
Monitor and manage system configurations, licenses, certificates, profiles, and rules for compliance.
Coordinate efforts across global teams to ensure consistent support and modernization of platforms.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience in software development and/or production support using C/C++ and/or Java.
6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle BRM (Portal Infranet/Integrated Billing Solution) 7.x.
Strong experience in BRM PCM development (C/Java) and customizations.
Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Mediation Controller and third-party integrations:
Vertex (O Series), payment processors (e.g., Chase Paymentech), invoice extraction systems, and Oracle EBS (R12).
Experience with job automation tools and techniques.
Solid understanding of BRM data models and data warehouse feed integration.
Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS and WebLogic.
Expertise in Unix/Linux environments with strong shell scripting (Bash, Korn).
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
Experience in data migration, import processes, and legacy system conversions is a plus.
Preferred Skills:Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with continuous delivery risk management and support team productivity metrics.
