ResponsibilitiesResearch emerging sensor technologies and explore their applications within the fulfillment network.Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, testing teams, and suppliers to develop sensor technologies from concept to high volume production.Design and develop sensor and compute products characterization methodologies and automate solutions.Define system requirements and test plans, conduct experiments, collect data, and perform system/sub-system level testing and evaluation.Work backwards from customer needs, advising sensor selection, designing sensor and compute systems, developing integration plans, and prototyping solutions.Essential SkillsBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, System Engineering or related discipline.5+ years of system development experience from concept to production environment.Experience with sensing technologies such as camera, stereo camera, time-of-flight camera, radar, and lidar.Experience designing sensors and compute systems for high fidelity perception applications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience developing sensor characterization methodologies and infrastructure.Experience with camera lens optical simulation using Zemax.Ability to write comprehensive functional requirements and test plans.Creative and efficient problem-solving skills.Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills with high attention to detail.Willingness to support domestic and international travel as required.Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Expect to engage with a multidisciplinary team, using tools such as Solidworks and Zemax for optical design and simulation. The role may involve occasional domestic and international travel to support program requirements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
