Job Title: Optical Component Test Engineer

Job Description

Join our New Product Introduction team as a dynamic Optical Component Test Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering automated calibration and verification solutions for optical products. Your role will require you to be highly technical and data-driven, capable of debugging both hardware and software issues. You will effectively communicate your work to teams including designers, product engineers, contract manufacturers, and operators.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with contract manufacturers to deploy products on a large scale.Transform manual testing into automated testing, including reviewing and writing test code.Write tests and automation scripts to support new and existing production lines.Analyze production statistics to improve test time and yields.Support failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation for components, sub-systems, and field failures.Essential SkillsExperience with testing electronics.Understanding of object-oriented principles and ability to automate tasks using Matlab.Minimum of one co-op experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong data analysis skills.Experience with optical testing and working with optical fibers.Experience with electro-optics.Work Environment

The position requires working on-site a minimum of three days a week, with readiness to work five days if necessary. The work environment involves engaging with both hardware and software, utilizing technologies such as Matlab, Python, and C#.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
