We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director_Ops Transformation in Divisional Management to transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong business acumen and communication skills.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within the Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

What you'll do in the role:
Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project effortsLead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisionsAnalyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolutionBuild and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizationsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document clear business requirements.Profile and explore large raw datasets to detect trends, data quality issues, and business insights.Design and implement efficient, scalable data models (e.g., star schema) to support analytics and reporting.Build intuitive, UX-focused Power BI dashboards that enhance decision-making.Develop performant SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data for analysis.Translate business needs into robust data solutions and maintain clear model/pipeline documentation.What you'll bring to the role:
Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and proceduresAbility to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budgetAbility to address non-standard issues within area of expertiseCulture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate those around youSQL proficiency and experience designing data models and schemas, including data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).Hands-on experience with Power BI, strong understanding of UX and data visualization principles.Skilled at handling large, raw datasets and optimizing them into structured, analytics-ready models.Excellent communication skills; able to work cross-functionally and convey data concepts to non-technical stakeholder.Curious, analytical thinker with strong business context awareness.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:
