What is the opportunity?

The Securities Reference Data team is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting and supervising the universe of investable securities offered to RBC Wealth Management clients. As a Specialist II in the Securities Reference Data team, you will help support this team with their daily processing tasks by providing oversight and helping to solve escalated concerns with ease. Your exceptional customer service and problem resolution skills will position you as a subject matter expert to the business partners you support. Using your keen business sense, you will also identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies and reduce risk to the firm.

What will you do?

Lead and empower the team to achieve organization goalsCreate a pleasant working environment that inspires the teamHandle escalated items from the teamUtilize customer service and problem-solving skills when responding to requests and questions from our branches, operational areas, and correspondentsBuild relationships in all business lines from Front and Back offices and correspondents as accurate securities descriptive data which is essential to the lifecycle of the trade through post-trade statements, confirmations and regulatory reporting.Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targetsDrive for process and procedural change to find efficiencies and reduce risk. Identify opportunities for change and engage stakeholders toward completion.Responsible for training new employees and helping the team adjust to procedural changes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma and 3+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience).Prior securities, banking, technology industry and/or job specific related industry experienceDemonstrated and sound managerial experience leading and managing a team

Nice-to-have

4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related fieldCredit operations, project management, analysis and/or risk control experienceSecurities license 7 or 99 (or ability to obtain license within 120 days)

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 - $85,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
