What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
Drives trucks to various destinationsMaintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage; ensuring safety is your number one priorityMaintains truck log, per state and federal regulationsInspects truck equipment and suppliers such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and waterDrives vehicle to transport items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipmentStarting pay is $0.72 per mile / Miles per week are averaging between 1600-2000.With a $25 dollar per hour detention and breakdown pay and $23 dollars per drop
-Kansas City, Phoenix and Atlanta
-Multiple runs to Little Rock area per week.
- Houston and San Antonio once per week.
- Occasional runs to New Jersey and California
Pickup/Delivery
Maintains phone contact with supervisor and/or dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery instructionsPrepares receipts and collects payment for good delivered and for delivery charges when requiredLoads and unloads truckPicks up product at customers and suppliers, checks delivered product and quantities for accuracyHas inspection authority to release product prior to deliveryWhat We’re Looking For

Forklift certified preferred but not requiredPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Lifting - Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling).Carrying - Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands, or arms, or on the shoulder.Sitting - Remaining in a normal seated position while driving from and to locationsStooping - Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.Handling - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with the hand or handsWork Experience:
