Registered Veterinary Technician Wanted: VCA Eye Clinic for Animals  San Diego, CA

Schedule: 4 x 10 hr Shifts Monday through Friday

No Overnight Shifts or Weekends

Compensation : $25 to $29/ hr, depending on your experience and years in the industry

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Venipuncture, Catheter placement
• Anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Assist with physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Patient Recovery and animal husbandry

• Maintaining medical records

• Laboratory work
• Laboratory work
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred
• Hold a current RVT license
• Must have surgery experience
• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
