The Oaklawn Surgery Center is an independent healthcare facility which performs outpatient Ophthalmology related outpatient surgery. Position Summary

We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician/scheduler that will support a high-volume ophthalmic surgery center that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.

 

Pay Range - $19.00-22.00/hr. Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

 

Ophthalmic skills include:

Obtaining and documenting patient health historyObtaining medical clearances from doctor officesObtaining History and Physicals from doctor officesVerifying insurance informationHigh Call Colume CenterStocking surgery center oprting roomsPerforming office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMRProviding patient servicesMaintaining equipment and instruments Qualifications

• Dependable transportation required

• Ability to pay attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable

• The ability to recognize inconsistencies

 

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited high school
