Ophthalmic Assistant (1.0 FTE)
**Job Description:** Provides quality care to patients of all ages as defined in the ambulatory care nursing philosophy of Essentia Health. Performs tests and procedures and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in providing quality eye care. Work Experience:Combination of 1 year clinical or clerical healthcare related work and customer service experience.If position is with optometrist must also have one-year experience with contact lenses. **Education Qualifications:** No educational requirement. **Licensure/Certification Qualifications:** CPR-certified or must obtain within 1 month. Current JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
