Under the direction of the supervisor, either directly or through the leadperson, this individual is responsible for performing various bench operations on teflon-lined parts, including salvage repair, at optimum production and quality levels. This person must be able to operate all the equipment in the department (bench lathes, drill presses, hones, hydraulic presses, baking ovens, etc.) with minimal guidance. Specific duties include torque inspection and repair, cutting and installing teflon lines, loosening, honing, trimming, cleaning and other miscellaneous tasks involved with teflon-lined products.
The teflon operator CL-A will be responsible for maintaining accurate production counts, setting up torque inspection gages as required, and maintaining a safe and clean work area, especially when working in the Clean Room. Also, this employee will be required to move work as required, train new employees and perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or leadperson.
