Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:
Under direction of the plant superintendent, learns and performs all aspects of operating the water treatment plant and water distribution system.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Operation and less technical maintenance of water treatment plant equipment.Operation and less technical maintenance of water distribution system.Operation and less technical maintenance of water booster stations.Less technical sampling and analysis of water and compliance.Maintenance of buildings and grounds and cleaning of water treatment plant.Accurate record keeping in log books and computerized laboratory and maintenance management systems.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
High School Diploma/GED is required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computer skills: Google Workspace (gmail/Google Sheets/ Google Docs).Other skills needed: Mechanical ability, good communication skills.Must be able to report to work within 60 minutes for emergencies.Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently and legibly.Must be able to perform basic math calculations.Must have basic computer literacy and have ability to learn basic data entry per job scope.Must have ability to learn new industry technology to keep pace with changing job scope.Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers.Must have a high standard of ethics.Rotational on- call and weekend work required.Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Night-time classes to obtain licenses and daytime seminars to maintain licenses required.Physical Requirements:
